Updated Jul 19, 2026
Who is responsible for your data?
DesignerBox is a trading name of LoadFocus LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 9554514, with its registered office at 4 Grayscroft Road, London SW16 5UP, United Kingdom. LoadFocus LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this statement.
This statement sits alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Where this statement and the Privacy Policy overlap, the Privacy Policy is the fuller description of how we handle your information.
What is the General Data Protection Regulation?
The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) has applied since 25 May 2018. It governs how any organisation subject to it collects, stores and uses the personal data of people located in the European Economic Area. Personal data is any information that, used alone or together with other information, could identify a person.
Following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, we are also subject to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We apply the rights described below to all of our users, regardless of where they are located.
What data does DesignerBox store?
Account data. The information shown on your account page, including your name, email address and subscription status.
Billing records. The invoices we generate for each payment, which we retain for as long as UK accounting and tax law requires. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
Content you submit and content we generate for you. The prompts you write, the images and files you upload, and the images, videos and other outputs produced from them.
Technical and usage data. Your IP address, device and browser information, and records of how you interact with the platform.
Why does DesignerBox store this data?
To perform our contract with you. We process account and billing data to authenticate you, operate your subscription, and issue invoices.
To deliver the features you ask for. We process your prompts, uploads and generated content in order to produce and store the output you requested.
For our legitimate interests. We process technical and usage data to keep the platform secure and reliable, to prevent abuse, and to understand how the service is used so we can improve it.
To meet legal obligations. We retain certain records to comply with accounting, tax and law enforcement requirements, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
With your consent. Optional analytics and marketing cookies run only where you have accepted them. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Is my content used to train AI models?
We do not sell your personal data. The prompts and images you submit are sent to the third-party model providers listed below for the single purpose of producing the output you requested. We do not use your uploaded photographs to train our own foundation models.
Who are the sub-processors that DesignerBox uses?
We rely on the following providers to run the service. Each is bound by a data processing agreement, and we review this list whenever we add or replace a provider.
Amazon Web Services. Cloud hosting, storage and delivery of the platform and the files it holds.
Stripe. Secure processing of payments, subscriptions and invoicing.
Third-party AI model providers, including OpenAI, Google, Black Forest Labs and ByteDance. Processing of the prompts and images you submit in order to generate the output you request.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Measurement of website usage. These load only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
Hotjar. Product experience analytics. Loads only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
Crisp. Customer support chat, used to handle the conversations you start with our support team.
Rewardful. Attribution of referrals for our affiliate programme.
Mailchimp. Storage of email addresses and delivery of the email communications described below.
How to reach us
Email us at contact@designerbox.ai, or sign in and use the "Contact Support" form on your account page.
How to withdraw your consent
To withdraw consent for us to process your data, email contact@designerbox.ai or raise a request from your account page. You can change your cookie choices at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we carried out before you withdrew it.
Where do we get your data from?
Most of the data we hold comes directly from you, specifically when you create your account, when you subscribe to a paid plan, when you submit prompts or upload files, when you contact our support team, and when you ask to receive our blog or product emails.
We also generate a small amount of data ourselves, such as usage logs and an approximate geographic location inferred from your IP address.
Why are you emailing me?
Service emails. Notifications about your account and about generations or jobs that have finished on the platform.
Billing emails. Messages about your subscription, payments and invoices.
Marketing emails. Product news and blog content, sent only if you opted in. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect the service and billing emails above.
How do I request access to my data?
To request a copy of your data, follow the steps below.
Sign in to your account, open your account details and find the section "REQUEST YOUR DATA", then click "Request data".
Alternatively, browse to our data request page and submit your details. We respond to requests as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest.
What rights do you have?
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to erase it, to restrict or object to how we process it, to receive a portable copy of data you gave us, and to withdraw consent where our processing relies on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@designerbox.ai.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may complain to the supervisory authority in your country. We would ask that you contact us first so we have the chance to put things right.
