DesignerBox vs Bria
Bria is an enterprise visual AI platform built around licensed training data, IP indemnification, and attribution. It sells to developers and to legal teams through an API. DesignerBox is a self-serve platform that routes to many third-party image and video models and adds brand production tools. DesignerBox is our own product. We have set out where Bria is the better buy, because a bad fit helps nobody.

The quick verdict
A compliance-first API platform against a self-serve multi-model platform. Bria trains its own models on licensed data and sells provenance, indemnification, and deployment control. DesignerBox routes to leading third-party image and video models and adds workflows and brand tools for people who are not engineers. Here is the honest split.
Choose DesignerBox if
- You need video generation, not only video editing
- You want to switch between models from several vendors
- A marketing team creates the work, with no engineers involved
- You want brand kits, style locks and repeatable workflows
Choose Bria AI if
- Your legal team needs training data that is licensed
- You want IP indemnification on the images you publish
- You need attribution reports showing what influenced an output
- Your data must stay in your own cloud or on-premise
Where DesignerBox is stronger
Bria is built for developers and compliance teams. The points below are the parts of the job that sit outside that remit.
Video generation, not only editing
DesignerBox routes to six video models, including Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, Seedance 2.0, Kling 2.6 Pro and Runway Gen-4.5. You pick the model per shot. Bria publishes video editing routes such as background removal and resolution increase, priced per second. Video generation is not on its published price list.
Model choice across vendors
DesignerBox routes to Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2, Seedream 5, FLUX 2 Flex, FLUX Pro 1.1 and Kontext Multi. When a new model is released, you switch. Bria builds and serves its own Fibo family, which is what makes its licensing promise possible and also fixes your choice.
Finished tools, not only API routes
DesignerBox ships finished tools: workflows, brand kits, style locks, character consistency, virtual try-on, background removal, photo angles, relighting, styled scenes, product ad generation, flat lay and upscaling. A marketing team uses them with no code. Bria leads with API routes, iFrames and plugins, so the surface your team works in is often one you embed or build.
Flat monthly pricing
DesignerBox sells flat monthly plans with a free plan at 112 credits, then $15, $35, $75 and $200 a month. Costs are known before the month starts. Bria bills per generation from $0.018, which suits a product team metering usage and makes a marketing budget harder to fix in advance.
DesignerBox vs Bria, feature by feature
A licensed-data API platform against a multi-model production platform. The difference is what each one is built to guarantee.
| Capability | DesignerBox | Bria AI |
|---|---|---|
| Training data source | Routes to third-party models | Licensed only, per Bria's own site |
| IP indemnification | Not published | Capped standard, unlimited on Enterprise |
| Attribution and provenance reports | Not published | Yes, the core strength |
| Video generation | Six models including Veo and Sora | Video editing routes published, not generation |
| Image model choice | Seven models, switch per job | Bria's own Fibo family |
| Deployment control | Hosted, no self-hosting published | Cloud, BYOC, on-premise, air-gapped |
| Brand consistency approach | Workflows, brand kits, style locks | Tailored Generation trains on your data |
| Entry pricing | Free plan, paid from $15/mo | Free trial, then from $0.018 each |
Pricing checked on 6 August 2026 from each company's own pricing page, and prices change. Bria: a free trial of 100 generations, then pay as you go from $0.018 per generation, with Fibo image generation at $0.03 and Fibo Lite at $0.02, video editing routes priced per second, and Enterprise on request. Its pricing page lists capped standard indemnification on pay as you go and unlimited indemnification on Enterprise. DesignerBox: a free plan with 112 credits a month, then $15 for 500 credits, $35 for 1,000, $75 for 2,500 and $200 for 8,000, with every model included. Read both pricing pages before you decide.
How to choose between them
Work through these in order. The first clear answer usually ends it.
Where Bria wins, and who should pick which
Where Bria wins: licensed training data
Bria states that its models are trained only on licensed data from Getty Images, Alamy and Envato, and its pricing page lists capped standard indemnification on pay as you go and unlimited indemnification on Enterprise. DesignerBox routes to third-party models and publishes no such promise. For a regulated buyer that difference is the whole decision.
Where Bria wins: attribution and provenance
Bria publishes an attribution service that maps which training content influenced an output and weights each contribution. Enterprise plans add a birth certificate and a copyrightability report. Nothing in a model-routing platform produces that paper trail, and for some buyers the paper trail is the product.
Where Bria wins: deployment control
Bria can run in your own AWS or Azure account, on your own hardware, or fully air-gapped, so inputs and outputs stay inside your network. DesignerBox does not publish a self-hosted or private-cloud option. A bank, a hospital or a defence supplier often cannot use a hosted tool at all.
Choose Bria for regulated and embedded work
If your images are published inside a product you sell, or your legal team reviews creative before release, or your data cannot leave your network, Bria is the better pick. Getting that wrong costs you a compliance review, so weigh it before anything else.
Choose DesignerBox for image and video breadth
If you produce across image and video, want to pick the best model per shot, and need the newest releases without waiting for one vendor to release them, DesignerBox covers more of that work. One account covers both media types, so making video does not need a second subscription.
Choose DesignerBox for brand work without engineers
If a marketing team needs on-brand output today, brand kits, style locks, character consistency and repeatable workflows give them that with no build. Flat monthly plans also make the budget easy to approve, which matters when the buyer is not an engineering lead.

How this comparison is built
So you can judge the source, not only the verdict.
Checked against the vendor
Prices and features come from the vendor's own site and documentation, not from third-party listicles. Where a review site and the vendor disagree, the vendor wins.
Dated, not evergreen
This page carries the date its facts were last verified. AI tools change their plans often, so a comparison with no date on it is a comparison you cannot trust.
Our bias is named
We sell DesignerBox. This page says so, and it names the buyers who should pick the other tool instead. A comparison we won on every point would not be worth publishing.
Gaps are stated, not guessed
Where a company does not publish its pricing, we say so rather than estimating. Many vendors also show annual-billed prices by default, which reads lower than the monthly price you would actually pay.
